So, Riley and I had our first snow day yesterday- woooo hooooo! The good news is obvious, as I didn't have to go into work! The bad news, my school waited until 5:45 to cancel the school day so I was already up & showered. Riley got up shortly after so it was an early morning for all of us- Jim took advantage (he works from home on Fridays now) and made us a hearty breakfast of bacon, taters, and eggs! Riley had his second snowfall (the first being last year) and he was in a mood, so the "snow joy" was fleeting. He did enjoy being inside the house watching Daddy shovel and throw snowballs at the window though, so maybe, he'll like the snow better next year.
Here's a few pics:
Maybe he would have liked it more with some gloves!! Glad you had off:)
ReplyDeleteIf I could only get gloves on him! I wish! He has a major melt-down-itis whenever the mittens approach!
ReplyDeleteat least your kid has snow boots. We bought the snow pants but forgot the boots. We took him out in Cons until his feet got all wet!
ReplyDeletenah, those are his everyday shoes. I wanted to go WT-style and put plastic bags over his shoes, but got vetoed.
ReplyDeletekick-ass hat! riley, you are the arbitor of coolness among the late-infant set.
ReplyDeleteAs an aside, when I was a wee bairn, I had baby gloves. Lots of them! Guess what I did with them? That's right! I always took them off! I lived, and with the help of Avon and Burt's Bees, my hands are smooth and supple to this very day.
